Residents of Holiday Acres, a 150-apartment property located Latrobe, PA, recently completed a month long series of cooking classes sponsored by the Westmoreland County Food Bank, Penn State Extension -Greensburg, and the property’s staff.  Participants learned food preparation, food safety, nutritional information, and how to prepare meals, using food provided by the food bank.  

At the conclusion of the course they received a certificate, a $20.00 gift card from Walmart, a cookbook, shirt, a thermos bottle, and a bag of assorted items used for cooking and preparing food.  

All attendees enjoyed themselves and were very happy to have participated in the program.
